The service

Backfield IQ provides statistical forecasts, educational analysis, and decision-support information for fantasy sports, DFS, and player-prop research. We are not a sportsbook, casino, gambling operator, bookmaker, fiduciary, or financial adviser, and we do not accept or place wagers.

Eligibility

Forecasts, explanations, the methodology, and the validation record are published openly and require no account. You must be at least 21 years old to create an account or subscribe to Beat the Market, which is the only tier that publishes pick-oriented or market-related output. You are responsible for confirming that fantasy contests and sports wagering are legal where you are located and for complying with every applicable law and operator rule.

No guaranteed outcomes

Forecasts are probabilistic and can be wrong. Historical returns, confidence intervals, expected value, and model probabilities do not guarantee future results. Never wager money you cannot afford to lose. You retain sole responsibility for every decision and its consequences.

Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, protect your access credentials, and do not scrape, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, manipulate, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend access needed to protect users, model integrity, intellectual property, or legal compliance.

Subscription, billing, and renewal

Beat the Market is $50 per month in US dollars. It is the only paid tier; forecasts, explanations, the methodology, and the validation record are published free of charge and create no payment obligation. By subscribing you authorize a recurring monthly charge to your payment method on the same day of each month until you cancel. Prices exclude any tax that applies where you are located; the exact total is shown at checkout before you pay.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details go to Stripe and are never received or stored by Backfield IQ. You must be authorized to use the payment method you provide. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

We may change the price of a plan. Any change takes effect at your next renewal and only after we give you at least 30 days' notice by email, so you can cancel before it applies.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on your account page. Cancellation stops all future charges; your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no partial-period refund is issued. Charges already billed are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law, and we may issue discretionary refunds in cases such as a duplicate charge or a prolonged outage.

We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms. If we terminate an account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.

Raising a chargeback instead of requesting a refund may result in suspension. Contact [email protected] first, and we will try to resolve it.

API access

Programmatic access is included with Beat the Market only. API tokens are personal to the subscribing account, are short-lived, and must not be shared, resold, or used to redistribute Backfield IQ output to people who are not subscribers. We may rate-limit, throttle, or revoke tokens to protect service availability. Access ends when the subscription ends.

Intellectual property and third parties

Backfield IQ's forecasts, interfaces, written analysis, and original data products are protected content. NFL and team names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification. Third-party odds and statistics remain subject to their providers' rights and terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, complete data, or any particular result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backfield IQ is not liable for wagering losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required, communicated to account holders. Questions may be directed to [email protected].
